Servings 34 chips per plantain
- 3 Green Plantains
- Coconut Oil
- Sea Salt
Peel the green plantains by slicing an opening in the green skin and remove the outer green peel. Discard the peels.
Slice the green plantains thinly using a knife. To ensure that each chips cooks evenly make sure is slice is the same thickness as best as you can. Do not stress this part, simply fry the thicker ones longer in the oil.
Cooking Method
Heat a frying pan with coconut oil on medium heat. Add the sliced plantains to the oil, fry for 2-4 minutes. I like my chips crunchy, so I fry mines longer.
Remove the chips from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with a brown bag. Sprinkle with sea salt. Enjoy while warm.
