These 5 Caribbean plant-based recipes are inspired by the flavor’s colors, and vibrance of various tropical islands.

  1. Cornmeal Pudding

This Cornmeal Pudding is inspired by Jamaican Cornmeal Pudding. Bay leaf, Cinnamon, Sugar, and rich Coconut Milk are some of the staple ingredients.

2. Sorrel Tea

This Sorrel focus on the island flavors of sorrel and ginger, with hint of cinnamon.

3. Tostones

You can find Tostones in many Caribbean and South American dishes. This recipe is based off what I grew eating and (eventually) making on an island in the Caribbean.

4. Fried Sweet Plantain

Anyone who grew up or visited any Caribbean Island has most likely had Fried Sweet Plantains with at least one of their local meals.

5. Sweet Plantain Vegetable Rice
