Oven-roasted garlic fills your kitchen with the most intoxicating, mouth-watering, and delicious aroma.
This is a pretty simple and straightforward recipe. Your oven will be doing most of the work and you only need three ingredients.
Olive Oil – You can easily substitute for coconut oil.
Sea Salt – I prefer to use sea salt in all of my cooking.
Garlic – Of course, you cannot make roasted garlic without garlic. Whole bulbs work the best.
One of my methods for roasted garlic with foil is to first wrap my bulbs in parchment paper and then wrap them in foil. You can use either brown or white parchment paper.
This is MY general rule for baking with foil paper. The parchment paper and foil create a little hot pocket for your garlic to cook and holds the olive oil and sea salt in.
Oven Roasted Garlic is such a versatile ingredient and can be used in so many savory dishes. I personally love the rich garlic flavor without that unpleasant raw garlic taste. Which, I am not a fan of, especially in dishes such as hummus and garlic bread.
You will need a few cloves to make my Roasted Garlic Hummus. The recipe is in my new recipe e-book From Chickpeas, With Love along with 9 other plant-based delicious recipes that all star chickpeas as the main ingredient. If you like, love, or are just curious about chickpeas, then this e-book is for you. You can purchase the e-book here.
