
A farmer’s market in spring is packed with early produce, plants, and fresh flowers. Here are few things that you should consider purchasing when you visit your local spring farmer`s market.

Your local Farmer’s Market might have handfuls of fresh asparagus with tender light green stalks, bunches of vibrant crisp fresh lettuce, and fragrant fresh herbs like parsley.
Here are a list of fresh vegetables you should buy when stop at your local spring farmer’s market.
Plants – some farmers will have plants for sale. This is a great way for you to get a head start on your spring garden.
Asparagus– this is the number one spring vegetable that is an absolute delight to eat when freshly harvested and prepared.
Leafy Greens – kale, lettuce, collard greens, and cabbage thrive in the colder months. Look for lush leafy green leaves.
Herbs – parsley and cilantro during the spring months are so fragrant.
Root Vegetables – carrots and beets among other spring vegetables are perfect lightly oven roasted, grated fresh in a salad, or blended into a refreshing juice.
