If you have any apples you are not too sure what to do with then make this Apple Walnut Crumble. You only need a handful of ingredients and a food processor to make the crisp/crust.

Here is what you will need to make this Apple Walnut Crisp.
For the filling:

Apples – you can use any type of apples that you have on hand. For this recipe, I used homegrown gala apples.
Grated panela
Coconut oil
Cinnamon powder
Ginger powder
Vanilla Extract
This Apple Walnut Crisp has a “crust” that soaks up all the bubbly melted sugar flavored with all the warm aromatic spices. Your kitchen is going to smell and taste like a cozy warm fall day.

The “crust” is made by pressing out the filling directly onto the pan. This will hold the apple filling and add another layer of texture.
For the crisp/crust:
Medjool dates
Maple Syrup
Flax meal
Rolled Oats
Cinnamon powder
Coconut oil

Water

Toasted walnuts give this Apple Walnut Crumble a delicious unique flavor that compliments the apple filling. You can easily substitute the ¼ cup of walnuts for your favorite nut of your choice. Just make sure that they are toasted.
