My 4 Favorite Breakfast Meals

My 4 Favorite Breakfast Meals

Here is a list of my 4 favorite breakfast meals using oats. Each of my favorites are 100% plant-based and packed with….. well you guessed right, fiber.

1. Oat Waffles

Waffles are one of my favorite breakfast foods. I love my waffles with a healthy helping of homemade hand-shelled peanut butter and a heavy drizzle of unsulfured blackstrap molasses. I make my own breakfast oat waffles at home from scratch. I love to mix it up by using homemade Tahini, which is a spread made from toasted brown sesame seeds. You probably know Tahini as one of the major ingredients in Hummus. A few heaping spoons of tahini and a heavy drizzle of unsulfured blackstrap molasses on top of a warm homemade oat waffle is a heavenly combination for me. You can find the recipe for my “Brown Sesame Seed Tahini” here.

2. Peanut Butter Oatmeal

When I was younger (like I am so old at 20) I used to dislike oatmeal. Now I don`t mind eating oatmeal for breakfast 2 or more times a week. In other words, I am now in love with oatmeal, especially when I make it with homemade roasted peanut milk. Believe it or not but my 13-year-old brother makes much better (really perfect) oatmeal than me. Yes, he can cook at only 13. He can also bake as well; he helps me bake for my online bakery. I tend to overcook my oatmeal, which I strongly dislike. Whereas, every time when he cooks oatmeal it came out just the way I love it with a little bite left in the oats. This is weird because you would think that since I love oatmeal so much now, I should be able to cook it how I like it, but I can`t. Not yet at least, so I guess I will continue stuffing my face with my little brother’s oatmeal. In the picture, I drizzled a little honey and sprinkled a little ground cinnamon powder. mmhhh…. soo delicious.

3. Granola

You probably know by now that I am a huge fan of oats. Granola is another favorite breakfast food of mine. I make mine jam-packed with nuts and seeds for that extra boost of protein and a big spoonful of homemade peanut butter for that nutty roasted flavor.

My favorite granola is the Maple Almond Crunch Granola from EDCHC Bakery. EDCHC Bakery is a 100% plant-based, soy-free, dairy-free, egg-free, refined sugar-free, and refined oil-free bakery. You have to try their Granola, it is so good. Their Coconut Almond Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies are absolutely delicious, and their #1 Bestseller. You can find them here. EDCHCBAKERY – Etsy

I like my Granola with dried cranberries and a lot of homemade almond or peanut milk since I belong to the group that likes more milk than cereal. How do you like your cereal?

4. Peanut Butter Rawnola

I am not going to say much here except that I absolutely love this meal. Not only do I eat this for breakfast but as a snack as well. Looks good right?

  • Loving your top 4 picks, great job!!!…I myself am a oats lover. I remember being pregnant and just craving raw oats by the mouthful…don’t judge me too harsh:) But to be completely honest, my favorite breakfast meal would have to be “teff porridge”…it’s just something about that mighty tiny seed/grain.
