These Maple Tahini Energy Balls are packed with calcium and iron rich tahini – a toasted sesame seeds paste, fiber rich rolled oats, and maple syrup and medjool dates to sweeten.

This is another one of my 10-ingredient recipes. You will need a food processor and a small cookie scoop to make blending and shaping easier. Though, you can totally do without the cookie scoop.

What you`ll need.

Rolled Oats

Oat Flour

Toasted Sunflower Seeds

Cinnamon Powder

Nutmeg

Sea Salt

Toasted Brown Sesame Tahini – runny tahini works best for this recipe. You can find an easy recipe here.

Maple Syrup

Almond Extract

Medjool Dates 

Hot Water

These are perfect for on-the-go snacking. Bring a batch to your next family gathering, house-warming, office lunch, or on your next nature walk. You just make these a day in advance, store in the fridge, and grab them on the way out.

Maple Tahini Energy Balls

These 10-ingredient Maple Tahini Energy Balls are easy and quick to make. Each of these energy balls are packed with iron, calcium, fiber, and naturally sweetened, making them not only taste good but good for you as well.

Servings 24 energy balls

Ingredients
  

DRY INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cups crushed rolled oats pulse in the food processor for 3-5 pulses
  • 1 tbsp toasted sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Pinch Sea Salt
  • Pinch Nutmeg (grated)
  • 3 tbsp Oat Flour

WET INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup Tahini (runny works best here)
  • ¼ cup Maple Syrup
  • ½ cap Almond Extract (about ¼ tsp)
  • 5 whole pitted Medjool Dates (soaked in ½ cup of hot water)
  • cup hot water (reserved from soaking dates)

Instructions
 

  • In a larger bowl, combine all DRY ingredients. Mix well and set aside.
  • Add all WET ingredients into a food processor and blend on HIGH until the dates are broken into small pieces.
  • Combine wet ingredients into dry and mix well.
  • Press mixture into a small cookies scoop and form into balls. Continue forming until all the mixture is done. You should have 24 energy balls.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Storing Tips

These energy balls can be kept in the fridge until you have no more left because you ate them all. 🙂 They are that good!!!!!

True story, on the first recipe test batch of these Maple Tahini Energy Balls all 24 were gone in two days. I knew right then that this recipe is a winner!

If they are too firm straight out the fridge, let them chill for a few minutes to soften.

What’s good for you

In addition to being insanely addictive, these energy balls are so good for you as well. They are packed with calcium, zinc and iron from the sesame seeds, fiber from the oats, protein, magnesium, and selenium from the sunflower seeds, and natural sugars from the medjool dates and the pure maple syrup.
