Who says that making fries is difficult? When all you need in potatoes, coconut oil, and a sprinkle of sea salt. These Red Potato Fries will quickly become a crowd favorite.
If you read my Home Garden Harvest 1 blog post, then you know that we have so blessed to grown and harvest red potatoes this year. Naturally, we had to make fries using these delicious homegrown red potatoes.
Everyone will love this recipe, from the little ones to the adults. Serve these alongside a delicious veggie burger for burger night or by itself as a crunchy snack.
Here is the recipe:
Red Potato Fries
Instructions
- Start by washing your potatoes (because I used homegrown red potatoes, I left the skin on)
- Cut your fries to your desired thickness/thinness. I like to cut my potatoes in 3 pieces diagonally and then cut into 4-5 sticks.
- Heat a frying pan of coconut oil, I like to use enough oil to cover the fries halfway at least.
- Fry until golden brown on one side and then flip and fry until golden brown on the other.
- Remove from oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
