Coconut Oil Green Beans with Garlic

Coconut Oil Green Beans with Garlic is a simple yet delicious, quick, and delicious preparation for green beans.

This might be the simplest recipe on my blog, but it is such a go-to side dish that you can whip up quickly and serve alongside various cuisines. Trust me, you will keep coming back to this recipe again and again because it is simply delicious and pairs so well with everything.

The crispy bits of garlic on the green are such as delicious surprise. One of the highlights of this recipe is that I use coconut oil instead of the usual olive oil to give the green beans a unique flavor.

You will not need to pre-blanch these green beans before you sauté because you will add a little bit of water to steam them.  Don`t you will not end up with boiled greens beans. The water will quickly evaporate at the end due to the heat.

You only need 4 ingredients to make this side dish – Green Beans, Coconut Oil, Garlic, and Sea Salt.

    Green Beans –

Fresh green beans work best for this recipe. I usually get my green beans from Adli`s when they are not in season. If you have fresh homegrown green beans, this dish will come out even better. Fresh is the best.

    Coconut Oil –

Look for Virgin Coconut Oil with coconut oil as the only ingredient. I solely use Organic Virgin Coconut Oil that is cold-pressed and unrefined. You can find the exact coconut oil I use here (affiliate link).

    Garlic –

Two small cloves of garlic or one big clove are just right for this recipe. Just finely chop the garlic using a knife.

    Sea Salt –

Sea salt is the only salt I use. Fine grain works well for this recipe. Everyone`s palette is not the same so what would be enough salt for me might be too much or too little for another person.  This is why I recommended that you salt to taste or adjust the seasonings to your preference.

I like to cut my green beans rather that cook them whole. You can leave them whole if that is your preference. They will come out delicious either way.
